Innovative, Efficient and Optimised Problem Solving
Extensive experience in a broad range of naval architectural activities, and a keen interest in optimisation of techniques and technologies, provides Whiskerstay with the unique expertise to apply its methods effectively in other engineering areas. These cross-disciplinary skills enable Whiskerstay to take a more holistic approach to engineering problems and produce bespoke solutions. Refinement, development and optimisation are a core ethos behind Whiskerstay.
Whiskerstay has a good grounding in academia, with a continued interest in disseminating work in both national and international forums. Through these forums the team can keep abreast of new techniques and methods of analysis, endeavouring to implement them in the work Whiskerstay undertakes.
The company is keen to promote engineering to the younger generations. Outreach activities will be a key part of Whiskerstay’s contribution to the engineering community, and the company will continue to actively represent the societies and committees with which it is affiliated - the Royal Institute of Naval Architects (RINA), the Women’s Engineering Society (WES), Subsea UK and the International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress (ISSC).
